Trust God and Do the Finest

You walk alone in dark night,
And the moon is shining bright,
Surrounded by fear and plight,
Think of God, you'll be alright.

You are diving deep in the sea,
But you cannot find the key,
Despair isn't setting you free,
Pray, God will show path to thee.

You are climbing up the hill,
The high peak is far away still,
Tiredness is taking away the will,
Keep going, God will help it fulfill.

God puts you to many tests,
But, He always wants your best,
Keep faith when there is unrest,
Trust God and do the finest.

I can see happiness everywhere

The grass gleams with the dew drops,
Those who nod in wind are the crops,
Flowers spread fragrance in the air,
I can see happiness everywhere.

The bright sun shines in the mighty sky,
The moon arrives as evening says bye,
The stars like crystals twinkle so clear,
I can see happiness everywhere.

Mango tree on which the cuckoo sings,
Peacock dances by spreading its wings,
Colourful birds fly like jets in the air,
I can see happiness everywhere.

The sea water gently touches the shore,
The sun in the horizon begins to dim more,
The quiet night stretches dark and fair,
I can see happiness everywhere.

This world brings smile on my face,
I thank God for showing His grace,
It pulls me out of gloom and dare,
I can see happiness everywhere.

After a Very Bright Day, Comes the Rain

Joys and sorrows are the part and parcel of our lives. Sorrows are always followed by the joys but unlike the convention, the poem tells us exactly the opposite. It says that happiness is followed by sorrows, but one must not give up upon himself and must keep his faith in God. He must face all the odd situations instead of running away from them because in the end, the sunshine returns to consecrate our lives with brightness and warmth.

I stood under the vast sky,
With my arms wide open.
To welcome the chilling rain,
That doesn’t come so often.

The very morning I saw,
Cottony clouds in the sky,
Shimmering by the sunrays,
So ardently they would fly.

They took me to a distant island,
Raced the horses of my mind,
My imaginations mirrored in them,
I witnessed shapes of many kinds.

Suddenly the bright sun was gone,
Black clouds overpowered the white,
Like lions, roared the heavens,
And then, everything was quiet.

Rain started, so fierce and wild,
As if hitting everyone with a lash.
The sounds pierced through my ears
And I was shaken by this bash.

I looked out from the window,
It was dark, dull and dim.
Yet I stepped out of my house,
Ah! I felt the lash on my skin.

Raindrops hit me like bullets,
And the clattering hurt my ears,
But I stood with my arms open,
Though my eyes were in tears.

My thoughts held me motionless,
As the rain seeped into my cells,
But this mighty pain drained away,
When I heard the temple bells.

With all the worries miraculously gone,
I felt the supreme Almighty by my side,
I was filled with new confidence,
And so I moved ahead with a new pride.

Joys and happiness rushed through me,
And a wise thought struck my brain,
I understood the nature of our life,
That,‘after a very bright day, comes the rain.’

Lend Your Ears!!

The sense of hearing is one of the most powerful senses that have been bestowed upon us by the Almighty. Few months ago, I deciphered the immense happiness my ears could provide me and these sources of joy are worth sharing.

Every day, in fact every passing second we come across infinite different sounds. How often do we care to listen to them all? I guess, never. Let’s give them a chance and you will find that music is all around us.

Hear your heartbeat or the whistling of winds,
The grinding and crushing in the rusty mills,
The chirping of birds or the humming of bees,
Swaying of trees and the rustling of leaves.
Horns of vehicles or the lovely wind chimes,
Ticking of the clock as it shows the time,
Thunders in the sky or flipping of the cane,
Sound of rain as it strikes the window pane,
Discover the music in a fast moving train,
Or the laughter of the kids playing in a lane.
Crashing of the waves on the seashore,
Banging of utensils in a far away store,
The ringing of bells or a knock on door,
Sound from the mines extracting the ore.
Hear the tapping of boots from a footstep,
Oh! The echo of a slap or cheer in a clap.
The sound of alarms or the buzz of buzzers,
Hear the flowing water in the raging rivers.
The ringing of bells or clinking of glasses,
Murmurs of students taking their classes,
Shattering of a glass or screeches of brakes,
Hear the wheels of rushing roller skates.
Fluttering of wings of the tiny butterfly,
Hear the fireworks as they splash in the sky.
Falling of a water drop in the empty vessel,
Or the boiling of water in a metal kettle.
Listen to the sound of a crackling fire,
Hear the electricity dashing through a wire.
More such sounds always fill the atmosphere,
So open your senses and lend your ear.

These are just few sounds that surrounds us. Start noticing these sounds and believe me you will discover a composer within yourself. And more importantly you will discover immeasurable inner joy and peace. A connection to your inner self, to what you truly are. So seize a moment, close the eyes and then, all that you have to do is LISTEN!!!
